About the Artist

Jonny Detiger is a Dutch-born, New York–based multidisciplinary artist whose work transforms everyday experience into vibrant, joy-infused worlds. Raised in the Netherlands and educated across Holland, Switzerland, Carnegie Mellon University, and the London School of Economics, Detiger brings a rare intersection of creativity, design thinking, and global perspective to his practice.

Self-taught as an artist, he moves fluidly between drawing, sculpture, installation, design, and musical collaboration. His signature visual language—intricate line art, bold color, iconic symbols, and layered mixed media—creates an energetic architecture of human emotion and interaction. Whether on paper, Plexiglas, aluminum, or in immersive built environments, Detiger approaches art as a living, breathing sensory experience.

Artistic Practice

Detiger’s practice merges "art, design, sound, color, scent, and spatial composition" into environments that heighten perception and elevate mood. He often describes his work as '“living art”—spaces that people can move through, feel, and emotionally respond to.'

His installations and sculptures function as playful yet profound studies of happiness, connection, and the human condition. By integrating multisensory elements—pulsing light, atmospheric soundscapes, chromatic shifts, and occasional scent—his works blur the line between observing and participating. Visitors don’t simply look at a Detiger piece; they enter it.
